Westbury Site and Building Contractors in business for over 30 years are looking for a HEAVY DIESEL MECHANIC with 10-20 years of experience working on heavy trucks, backhoes, excavators, loaders, telescopic forklifts, man lifts, compressors, forklifts, skid-steer and other fleet vehicles. Responsibilities will include:
Adjusting equipment and repairing or replacing any defective parts
Cleaning, lubricating, and performing other maintenance work
Diagnosing malfunctions or problems using a computerized system or testing equipment to determine the root cause of any issues
Repairing and verifying any emission control systems
Ordering parts as required
Understanding the inner workings of various fleet equipment
Will have a mechanic truck fully equipped to fulfill duties as well as a shop garage
Experience troubleshooting all type of electrical systems
NYS Class 1 drivers license preferred
Speaking Spanish or Portuguese a plus but not required. Please send a resume and salary requirements. Established company with room to grow and health benefits. Day work but may required at times to work nights.
