Position Overview: As a Bodyman, you will play a crucial role in repairing and restoring vehicles to their pre-accident condition. You will work on a variety of makes and models, utilizing your expertise to perform high-quality bodywork and ensure that every vehicle meets our rigorous standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform body repairs on vehicles, including straightening and aligning frames, repairing or replacing damaged panels, and applying finishes.
Use various hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment to execute repairs efficiently and accurately.
Assess vehicle damage and develop repair plans, including estimating time and materials required.
Remove and reinstall parts, such as bumpers, doors, and fenders, as needed.
Work with other technicians and team members to ensure timely completion of repair projects.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and company standards.
Communicate effectively with customers and service advisors to provide updates on repair progress and address any concerns.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Bodyman or in a similar automotive body repair role.
Proficiency in using body repair tools and equipment, including frame machines and paint systems.
Strong understanding of vehicle body construction and repair techniques.
Ability to read and interpret repair manuals, diagrams, and technical documentation.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification from an automotive body repair school or equivalent training.
Experience with advanced repair techniques and technologies.
Familiarity with various vehicle makes and models.
