Busy door company needs locksmiths/door installers to subcontract. Pay is 50% of the profit of a job; you should average about $600 to $800 per day.
A typical door installation (no frame, just slap in an apartment door) pays no less than $400. A door on a frame is more like $600.If you can install a Bilco door, that's generally about $600. If you are busy or the compensation isn't enough, feel free to turn down the work, no hard feelings. If you are a good locksmith, we'll try to keep, you busy.
I've been in business for 14 years and my guys have always done well. As a subcontractor, you will require :
1. Your own company with liability and workers comp insurance.
2. Your own tools and a reliable vehicle that can transport doors.
3. Good references and experience - we do not have a training program and you are responsible for any project you accept.
4. Any job you finish, you must warranty for one year.
