A small woodworking shop is looking for a hands-on support person to work alongside our lead fabricator and keep our shop clean and organized.
This position is Part-Time, Monday through Thursday, 12 pm-6 pm, with an opportunity to grow into a full-time position for the right individual.
Pay rate: $18/hr with a potential for an increase based on a consistently excellent performance in the key responsibilities outlined below.
Location: Sunset Park, Brooklyn, New York.

Main Responsibilities
Actively assist and perform woodworking tasks as instructed (joining, planning, routing, mitering, cutting) and as per shop drawings.
Keeps track of projects, processes, inventory, and workflow.
Must have a complete understanding of every project’s requirements.
Load and unload wood materials and supplies
Perform general cleaning tasks such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.
Maintains finishing room tidy, organized and operational.
Maintain supplies and tools clean and organized and everything in its place.
Sanding, filling, and preparing raw wood for finishing
Complete other duties assigned for production, organization, maintenance, or cleaning.

General Qualifications
Must have hand and eye coordination to make precise cuts to fabricate doors properly
Knowledge and experience using various tools for milling, assembly, sanding, etc.
Ability to safely operate woodworking machines.
Prepare and set up machines and operate them safely.
A good understanding of shop drawings.
Demonstrated ability to be highly organized, proactive, and reliable in your previous employment.
