Our operations involve the storage, retrieval, and release of vehicles from our facility, and we are looking to expand our team with a skilled Forklift Operator to maintain the organization of our storage yard and ensure the efficient handling of vehicles.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Forklift Operator to assist with maintaining our storage facilities and releasing vehicles as needed. The ideal candidate will have prior forklift experience, a valid driver’s license, and basic automotive knowledge to ensure the smooth and safe handling of vehicles in and out of our facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a forklift to move vehicles and materials within the storage facility.
- Load and unload vehicles, ensuring that all items are safely secured.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient storage yard.
- Assist in the retrieval and release of vehicles for customers as requested.
- Perform basic vehicle inspections to ensure vehicles are in good condition when entering or leaving the facility.
- Work closely with other team members to meet operational goals and deadlines.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies at all times.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks when needed, ensuring proper forklift and yard vehicle operation.
Requirements:
- Forklift experience is required (at least 1 year preferred).
- Valid Driver’s License is a must.
- Basic automotive knowledge (ability to identify vehicle parts and check for common issues).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays, as needed.
- Must be physically capable of performing manual tasks such as lifting, moving, and standing for extended periods.
