Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Customs Entry Writer to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in customs entry writing and will be responsible for preparing and processing customs documentation to facilitate the import/export of goods. You will work closely with clients, carriers, and U.S. Customs to ensure timely and accurate customs clearance.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare, review, and submit customs entries for import shipments in compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations.

Classify goods using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) and ensure correct tariff codes are applied.

Communicate with clients to obtain necessary information for entry documentation and provide guidance on customs regulations and requirements.

Work closely with U.S. Customs and other government agencies to ensure timely release and compliance of shipments.

Monitor shipments, track entry statuses, and resolve any issues related to customs clearance or compliance.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all customs entries, ensuring proper documentation is on file.

Provide exceptional customer service, promptly responding to client inquiries and resolving customs-related issues.

Stay updated on changes in customs regulations, policies, and trade agreements.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Customs Entry Writer or in a similar role within a customs brokerage firm.

Strong knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations, import/export documentation, and HTS classification.

Familiarity with ACE (Automated Commercial Environment) and customs brokerage software.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients and customs officials.

Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and customs entry systems.
