Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient movement of freight and the management of transportation operations. This position requires strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask, and a solid understanding of logistics and fleet management.
Duties
- Coordinate and schedule shipments, ensuring timely delivery of freight.
- Utilize transportation management systems, including Truck logic to track shipments and manage logistics.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, clients, and vendors to provide updates on shipping status.
- Manage dispatching operations to optimize fleet performance and minimize delays.
- Oversee shipping and receiving processes to ensure accuracy in documentation and inventory management.
- Collaborate with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to enhance service delivery.
- Monitor compliance with safety regulations and company policies during transportation operations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in transportation management or logistics is preferred.
- Familiarity with dispatching processes and fleet management practices.
- Proficient in using Oracle Transportation Management, TRUCK LOGIC, or similar software.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with various stakeholders.
- Knowledge of shipping and receiving protocols is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
