We are a boutique education company seeking essay consultants for the 2024-2025 college application season. This is a remote position and a great opportunity for anyone who enjoys working with high school students but also wants the flexibility of working from home.
Responsibilities:
Engage students in the writing process, from brainstorming and writing outlines to producing rough drafts, editing, and final revisions.
Provide detailed feedback on student essays, assisting them with both content and style.
Communicate effectively with students and parents on a regular basis to monitor their progress and ensure they meet application deadlines.
Coordinate with the CEO, Writing Coordinator, and Associate Consultant to assist students in successfully completing their college application essays.
Required Qualifications:
BA in Creative Writing, English, Journalism, or a related field
Strong editing and proofreading skills
Professional editing experience
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Preferred Qualifications:
MA in Creative Writing, English, Journalism, or a related field
Knowledge of the college admissions process and current trends in college admissions
Experience working with high school students
Compensation: $40/hour. This is a contract position.
