Benefits. $36 - $42/hour. $7500 Sign On BonusPOSITION SUMMARY: Ensures appropriate medical care to the people we serve, directly or through an LPN, by: performing skilled nursing duties; providing training, direction, and assistance to direct care staff; communicating and enforcing medical policies and procedures; providing oversight to certified staff in the administration of medication.PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Required Formal Education/Training & Background/Experience
Current New York State Registered Nurse license is required.
At least one-year nursing experience is preferred.
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record and reliable transpiration is required.
Experience working with people with developmental disabilities is preferred.Special Skills and Abilities
Ability to demonstrate a high level of empathy and sensitivity to the physical and psychological needs of the people we serve
Ability to communicate effectively orally, in writing, 1-on-1 and on the telephone
Ability to be flexible and be responsive to on-call demands
A0bility and willingness to provide effective instruction and demonstration to staff
Ability to maintain and apply current knowledge of OMRDD, OMH, DOH and other regulations governing medical care delivery to the people we serve
Ability and willingness to drive to multiple sites to perform skilled nursing duties
