Search Type: Full Time Location: remote to start then eventually at Midtown, NY, NY Summary: The ideal candidate will be part of a team responsible for the design, implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of all global network infrastructure, to ensure the availability, security, and consistent performance of our environment. This position is “hands-on” requiring solid technical skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The role will be both operations and engineering-focused, working with different technology teams to deliver core business initiatives. Major Responsibilities and Activities: The candidate must be able to analyze business needs and implement complete solutions that meet business requirements
Implement and take ownership of a wide range of networking solutions, including Cisco routers & switches, L7 firewalls, and other point products across multiple global offices, physical datacenters, and cloud regions
Improve proactive monitoring and management for network, security, and telecommunications infrastructure
Continuously improve security posture of the environment
Advance knowledge of Azure cloud networking and security
Provide troubleshooting and assist support groups in resolving issues relating to networking
Diagnose and perform remedial actions within area of Subject Matter Expertise
Aid in capacity planning and performance monitoring to ensure that network infrastructure systems are meeting the needs of the business
Monitor and provide statistical reports on the health and operational status of network infrastructure systems
Experience with SOX or SSAE controls and reporting
Create and manage regulatory reports and KPIs
Typical projects and tasks will include, but are not limited to:
Global office and datacenter buildouts / upgrades
Vulnerability and security risk assessment and patching
Firewall deployment and optimization, including security policy design
Deploying and managing network security solutions
BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP management, implementation, and troubleshooting
Wireless networking
Complete solution delivery including network patching, labeling, network diagrams, and documentation
Participation in formal change management process
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum of 5-10 years of experience working within an IT infrastructure group
Ability to work under pressure, managing multiple tasks with accuracy and to meet demanding deadlines, possessing strong ethics and the ability to maintain confidentiality
Root cause analysis experience is required
Experience with vulnerability scan platforms and remediation, such as Rapid7, Nessus, etc.
Experience with SEIM platforms, such as Sumo Logic, Splunk, etc.
Understanding of infrastructure security and authentication processes, e.g. SAML, Kerberos, RADIUS & MFA
Experience with privileged access management and privileged identity management
Day-to-day management of monitoring platform and tailoring to advance alerting & reports
Must be willing to work weekends, evenings and be on-call as required; the responsibilities are for 24x7x365 operations
Must maintain a sincere, polite, and respectful customer service attitude when working with the business and colleagues
Possess the ability to work closely with the Windows Engineering team, Database team, Client Support team, and Development team to provide solutions
Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
