Per NYS Regulation all applicants must be vaccinated Under the direction of the physician, the medical assistant will take vital signs and room patients for the physicians. Document in the patients charts. Answer patient phone calls, complete insurance forms, and send prescription refills for patients. The medical assistant will also set up admissions for patients. Qualifications : High school diploma or equivalent is required. Two (2) years of patient care experience is required. BLS Certification. Valid Medical Assistant Certification is preferred. Education and training in basic medical terminology is preferred. Valid NYS Driver’s License. Requirements: Bending, Lifting, Standing, Walking
