We are seeking a strong and passionate line cook to join our team. 40/hours, weekends a must.
You must be professional with a strong work ethic. Respectful, professional and with attention to detail, you have 1-3 years experience on a cook line; work well under pressure; are able to multi-task; ensure the café is operating to its best, every day. Your role and responsibilities include but are not limited to planning, preparing, and cooking food items to ensure the highest quality service and experience for customers. You keep the kitchen clean, organized and running efficiently. You ensure proper food handling, sanitation and food storage procedures, while working on prep, dish and plating café daily. Cross-trained, you enjoy working with the team and love the challenge of being the best version of you, you can be.
Skills and qualifications include:
1- 5 years minimum cooking experience in a scratch kitchen with a focus on sustainabilty.
Exceptional cooking skills and knowledge of various cooking methods
Be a strong member of the team and work hard to be transparent with the team
Ability to effectively manage the kitchen staff, motivate them and assign delegate tasks
Have a positive attitude
Strong team player
Familiarity with the best practices in the restaurant services industry
Knowledge of health and safety standards
Ability to multitask and work quickly under pressure
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Attention to detail and organizational skills
Dependable
Willingness to learn and grow in the café
Positive, motivated, attentive to details
40 hours/week with seasonal fluctuation.
Base hourly wage plus tip pool.
