Hi!
We're looking for private home care for my grandfather who is in the late stages of dementia. Must be willing to commute to the village of Franklin, and must have an active certification (such as LPN, HHA, PCA, CNA, etc). We would also consider a private duty nurse depending on the rate, as his needs are only going to continue to grow and we'd like to keep him home as long as possible.
He requires constant supervision, help with most ADLs, and requires a lot of patience as he suffers with word finding/comprehension and often defaults to being defensive. He requires a very soft and kind approach.
Many members of our family work from home, so extra help with him, especially as he adjusts, will be available. We are hoping to find a good fit for his personality, and someone who would want to increase their hours with us as his needs continue to grow.
To start, we are looking for someone to work with him 15 - 30 hrs / per week, with the option for more hours if it's a good fit.
