Applies technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to projects of moderate scope
Drives a workstream or project consisting of one or more infrastructure engineering technologies
Works with other platforms to architect and implement changes required to resolve issues and modernize the organization and its technology processes
Executes creative solutions for the design, development, and technical troubleshooting for problems of moderate complexity
Strongly considers upstream/downstream data and systems or technical implications and advises on mitigation actions
Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
Works within a diverse team, including multiple stakeholder engagements, while also leading efforts in an individual contributor or lead role
Articulates to more experienced management a technical strategy in clear, concise, understandable terms
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Formal training or certification on infrastructure engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience
Deep knowledge of one or more areas of infrastructure engineering such as hardware, networking terminology, storage engineering, deployment practices, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, or performance assessments
Drives to continue to develop technical and cross-functional knowledge outside of our product
Advanced understanding of business technology drivers and their impact on architecture design, performance and monitoring, best practices and JPMC policies
Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, launch and deliver multiple IT projects on time and within budget
Experience and practical working technical knowledge of infrastructure systems and design principles and architectures required
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Ideally proficient in one of programming languages (Java, PERL, Python)
Experience with datacenter planning and design (new, colocation and retrofit / refurbishment)
