Description Remote position available! A consumer products company based in Rockland County, NY is currently seeking a Senior Accountant on a contract basis to support year-end efforts of their Consolidations Group. The Senior Accountant will primarily be tasked with preparing intercompany reconciliations and eliminations, monthly close journal entries, month end reporting, and preparing financial statements. Experience in SOX control execution/documentation

Intercompany Accounting experience preferred

Comprehensive knowledge of SAP

Demonstrated knowledge of month end closings

Knowledge of Oracle EPM

Intercompany Accounting experience

Adeptness in journal entries

Proficiency in Consolidated Financial Statements

A strong track record of communicating, both verbally and in writing, with functional department managers

Excellent organizational and multitasking skills

Highly capable of analyzing financial data and quickly creating accurate reports

Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment, to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent

Minimum 5-7 years of overall general accounting experience

Strong analytical skills, with the ability to exercise good judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis

Efficient in ERP systems

Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines

Great attention to detail

BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are desired
