The Trails End Inn is currently a B&B operating in Keene Valley, NY. The Inn is open 365 days a year. The Inn has 13 guest rooms, a cottage, and a number of common spaces including a dining room and several lounges. The new owners are looking to expand the team when they take over operations of the Inn in August, 2021.
Responsibilities: Work of the Cleaners would include (but not limited to): servicing rooms (light cleaning and restocking) for continuing guests and full turnover of the rooms, which includes, making the beds with new linens, restocking towels and sundries, cleaning the bathrooms (all surfaces including toilets), dusting, vacuuming, trash removal, and ensuring the space is immaculate and welcoming for the next guests. Additionally, the Cleaners would clean the common areas and bathrooms, launder and iron the linens, and restock supply closets and the kitchenette for guests.
Requirements: We need Cleaners who are: trustworthy & honest, quick learners, hard working, able to work quickly & independently, have good communication skills & can collaborate with owners & other cleaners, kind and empathetic to the needs of guests, able to carry loads (up to 30 lbs) up and down stairs, able to transport themselves to & from the Inn, and eligible to work in the United States.
Compensation: Salary starts at $17/h (w/ raises based on performance) + tips, overtime, & seasonal bonuses.
Hours: This is an hourly role, and will pay overtime after 8 hours in a day. When the work is done, so are you! Hours will fluctuate with the season. We're looking for Cleaners who are willing to work overtime during the busy summer season (June - October) and recognize that hours will reduce in the late fall through the late spring. With advanced notice, Vacations are allowed (and encouraged), though we ask that they happen during the off season. We need Cleaners who are willing to work weekends and Holidays!
Right now we specifically need help Wednesdays, Thursdays, and over the weekends.
