Pastry Chef
We are looking for a professional Pastry chef to prepare food to the exact chef's specifications and to set up stations for menu. Pastry chefs duties will consist of making breads and desserts for the restaurant. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and acquisition goals. The restaurant is open from 5-9 pm daily and Sunday brunch 10:30-2 pm. Approx. 50-60 hours per week in the busy season 40-50 when its slower.
Responsibilities
Set up and stocking dessert station with all necessary supplies
Prepare food for service (e.g. Plating desserts and breads)
Bake bread and pies for both the restaurant and the market
Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef's instructions
Clean up station and take care of leftover food
Stock inventory appropriately
Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
Requirements
Proven cooking experience, including experience as a pastry chef, or baker
Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
