As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will support ATL’s Drilling Division by performing maintenance services and repairs on various drill rigs, carriers, trucks, and trailers.
Heavy Equipment Mechanic Minimum Qualifications:
High school or GED equivalent
Prior experience with heavy construction and/or agricultural equipment repair and maintenance
Valid NYS Driver License required, CDL preferred
Excellent time management skills and flexibility in work assignments
Strong independent work ethic and ability to work in a team environment
Ability to use power and hand-held tools, and diagnostic equipment to repair, replace, and test equipment and vehicles
Ability to understand directions and follow standard operating procedures
High regard for safety and hazard mitigation
Heavy Equipment Mechanic Responsibilities include:
Perform predictive, preventative, routine, and emergency maintenance and inspections of diesel, gas, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair diesel, gas, hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic systems
Effectively use diagnostic tools and data
Test equipment after repair to ensure proper operation and performance
Accurately record time, parts, and inspection checklists
Safely operate repair equipment including vehicle hoist, tire changer and balancer, torches, grinders, and various hand and power tools
Welding and light fabrication
