We will soon be hiring a Property Maintenance Manager to help manage multiple rental properties in Potsdam and Canton. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to function like a Head of Tenant Happiness, keeping buildings running smoothly and proud to provide comfortable homes to people from all walks of life!
The ideal candidate loves power tools, isn't afraid to wear some paint, and can perform light landscaping work that would make even his/her grandmother proud. If it is broke, the ideal candidate can fix it (ideally before it becomes broken), but knows when it's a job that really does require a licensed professional instead. An uncanny ability to use YouTube and Google to acquire new skills makes the ideal candidate a maintenance hero. The result? Tenants notice that other rental properties don't measure up and are proud to live where they do.
While this listing is for employment, we will consider contract work for the right person either to fill gaps or to start before transitioning to either full-time employment or part-time employment (we can be a little flexible here to make it work for you and your schedule).
Ideal candidate will be:
- Able to perform light carpentry
- Able to paint
- Handy in general
- Mindful, sympathetic, and understanding
- Able to be polite/professional to tenants and vendors even when one or both can have varying degrees of neediness at times
- Able to spot problems that need fixing
- A problem solver
- Able to perform light landscaping work
- Able to lift 50+ pounds
