Wanted Medicaid approved private-duty nurse for teenage female. Candidate must be proficient in smiling, laughing, have a love of music, and a love of children. Care to be provided in COVID-19 negative household.
Open shifts:
Every other weekend on Saturday and Sunday Noon-8PM (eg. July 18, 19; August 1, 2; August 15, 16, etc)
Every Saturday 8AM - Noon
Must also have an established NYS Medicaid Provider Number and NPI Number, and be able to bill Medicaid directly for services in home and during transport.
Attendance and punctuality are critical. Experience working within a home care setting is preferred. Training will be provided.
Case is medically-fragile low-tech, g-tube fed, non-ambulatory, non-communicative. Duties include bathing, preparing food; monitoring g-tube feedings, performing pulmonary treatments (Vesting, cough assist, Neb); administering meds, assisting with therapy sessions (OT, PT, Speech, Music), ROM, attending to personal care needs of child and health monitoring (aspiration risk, seizures), and most importantly, interacting with the child: talking, singing, and engaging.
Minimal lifting required. Child weighs 85 lbs and is non-weight bearing. Home setting has lift for all transfers.
Candidate requirements:
LPN with existing NYS Medicaid Provider and NPI number
Child care experience
Home is non-smoking with a cat. Smoking during shift is prohibited. Potential candidates will be offered an opportunity to interview existing members of our nursing team, to insure an appropriate fit to the family and existing staff.
Home is located in Farmington/Victor area, 2 miles off NYS Thruway exit for Canandaigua.
