We are hiring a Grossing Technician with 1+ years of experience! Ability to interview & on-board ASAP and provides competitive payDescription:
Perform all technical aspects of grossing using a variety of laboratory materials and equipment.
Ensure specimen integrity upon arrival and throughout the entire process.
Enter a gross description for each specimen including, but not limited to anatomical site, size, color, weight, dimensions, count, volume, cut techniques, abnormal findings, dissects and prepares tissue for cassettes.
Escalate non-routine complicated specimens to a Grossing Tech II, Supervisor or Pathologist.
Maintain accurate work records.
Prepare dissected tissue specimens and place into cassettes.
Perform Quality Control and Quality Assurance Procedures.
May label requisitions, specimen containers, and cassettes.
Maintain laboratory equipment and tracks all routine maintenance and quality controls performed.
Operate, clean, and sterilize laboratory equipment, glassware, instruments and workstation.
