Job Summary:
We're looking for a talented and innovative Head Chef to oversee kitchen operations, develop menus, and maintain exceptional food quality and presentation. As Head Chef, you'll play a crucial role in driving our restaurant's success and reputation.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage kitchen staff, including recruitment, training, and performance management
- Develop and implement menus, including seasonal changes and specials
- Oversee food preparation, presentation, and plating
- Maintain high standards of food quality, safety, and sanitation
- Manage kitchen operations, including inventory management, ordering, and cost control
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors
- Stay up-to-date with culinary trends, techniques, and ingredients
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef in a kitchen
- Proven track record of success in leading kitchen teams and driving revenue growth
- Strong culinary skills, including menu development, food preparation, and presentation
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with kitchen operations, food safety protocols, and inventory management
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift 50 lbs
Work Environment:
- Fast-paced kitchen
- Exposure to heat, water, and cleaning chemicals
- Physical demands include standing, lifting, and bending
