LINE COOK
We are looking for a professional Line Cook to prepare food to the chef’s specifications and to set up stations for the menu. Line Cook duties will consist of assisting the executive and sous chef with their daily tasks. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and acquisition goals.
Requirements
High school diploma or GED
Culinary degree a plus
2 years of experience in a similar environment, including experience as a Line Chef, Restaurant Cook or Prep Cook
Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
Be able to lift 50 lbs.
Familiar with industry’s best practices (safety/sanitation)
Primary Responsibilities
Perform tasks with speed and accuracy
Portion control ability to control food cost
Restocking ingredients at work station
Meet ticket times
Set up and clean station following protocol
Maintain a clean work station
Adheres to sanitary, health and personal hygiene standards
Quality and freshness of ingredients and products
Follow any and all tasks
Comply with all rules and policies outlined in the MCBC employee handbook
Perform other duties as directed by management
