Meadow Lane Park is an 87-home seasonal mobile home park in Alexandria Bay NY open May 1st to the Tuesday after Columbus Day in October.
This is a full-time position 7 months of the year [in season]; the remainder of the year [off season] work schedule is dictated by the park’s off season demands such as snow plowing, scheduled fall and winter projects etc.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsible for the daily maintenance of all common grounds [common grounds make up approx. 10 acres of the 21-acre park], roadways, 2 buildings including mechanical systems: park sewer, water, and electrical systems plus a 72-slip marina.
To include but not limited to:
Equipment maintenance and repair of parks machinery: utility vehicle, zero turn mowers, skid steer, mini track hoe, new Holland tractor, dump truck, pickup truck, various water pumps, gas pumps and gasoline bulk storage tanks and other miscellaneous STIHL tools.
Maintain inventories of maintenance & operations materials and supplies, ordering equipment and supplies as required. Maintenance and repair of the parks water and sewer systems, including underground water line repair, routine maintenance and repair of the freshwater chlorination system including daily testing and reporting; maintenance and repair of underground sewer lines as well as the winterization and spring start of the parks underground water systems.
Weekly mowing and weed trimming, applying herbicide, maintaining goose barriers and dock cleaning
Manage onsite waste management and recycling center
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a building, grounds, machinery, and equipment maintenance person
Ability to use computer and Microsoft Office products to research parts and communicate internally
Must be mechanically inclined with a history of maintaining and operating machinery and equipment and in keeping maintenance manuals and schedules.
Welding, metal cutting, electrical, plumbing and carpentry skills a real plus.
Ability to work any day of the week, including holidays [in season].
