Company Description: Frazee Farms is a family owned and operated dairy and crop farm located in Pompey, NY. We milk 600 cows and crop about 1700 acres.
Position: Shop Manager and Field Team Member
Roles: Work with farm owners and other employees to: collect crop data via in-field technological systems, work with precision GPS technology, operate a large variety of heavy equipment for cropping, repair and maintain farm equipment and facilities, and execute agronomic and nutrient management plans as well as other functions. Applicant must be task oriented, self-motivated, and able to work both in a team and alone.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Operation of a large variety of heavy equipment including row crop tractors & implements for cropping operations.
Operate payloaders, tractors, skidsteers, and 10-wheeler dump-trucks
Maintenance activities related to farm equipment
Operate Guidance and Yield monitoring systems
Assist with drag-line manure application operations
Assist farm managers with coordination of equipment
Responsible for agriculture equipment and timely maintenance
Maintain records and preventative maintenance scheduling
Help to maintain a clean and organized shop
