Plumbing and heating company is looking for a full-time Accounting Assistant.
Job tasks include:
Filing
Answering phones
Scanning and organizing electronic documents
Timesheet data entry for payroll
Creating and sending certified payroll reports
Processing new and terminated employee paperwork
Tracking benefit eligibility and assisting employees with benefit applications
Miscellaneous other duties as needed
This is a new position, so the duties may evolve over time.
The most important skills that are required for this position are:
A high attention to detail and accuracy
The ability to keep information confidential and the common sense to know what is confidential
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Strong computer skills
Additionally, the right candidate should have good communication skills and be professional on the phone and by email. You must be organized and be able to multi-task. QuickBooks experience is a plus but not required.
Starting pay is $16-$18 per hour depending on experience plus the following benefits:
