Central Office Technician
Entry Level + Level 1 – 3 Installation Technician

Qualifications:
- Knowledge of basic hand tools
- Ability to climb ladders and crawl in an over-head CO environment
- Basic knowledge of computer.
- Must have valid state driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record.
- Must have reliable transportation
- Regional travel is required on a weekly basis
- Applicants are required to submit to a background check and adhere to all safety requirements and on the job training provided by the company as required.
Candidates will have experience in / Entry level will be trained to obtain experience in:
o Building equipment racks, cable racks, fiber protections systems.
o Installing and performing the test & turn-up of new technologies.
o Ability to read schematic drawings and determine wiring sequence ability to work
o Ability to work with all types of cable including.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Operating and maintaining all types of telephone and computer equipment.
Performing/assisting with system and equipment installations.
Analyzing, troubleshooting and modifying software programs for network device configuration and control.
Performing daily backups and routine monitoring of switches, computer systems and data networks to ensure optimal operation.
Climbing ladders, working aloft, and moving/lifting items not exceeding 40 lbs. (100 lbs. for power responsibilities).
Mileage reimbursement and Per Diem for eligible travel.
Typical work week: Monday – Thursday 10 hr days. Back home Thurs evening - Sunday
Starting Pay: up to $20.00 per hour depending on experience.
Full and Part time available.
