Looking to hire a carpenter/builder that is skilled in various areas of the home building process. We are a home building contractor that does ground up builds. We do almost everything in house from the sitework and foundation, to siding and the roof and everything in between. With that being said, we do not expect the ideal candidate to know everything about building a house, but we are simply looking for more members with different skill sets to add to our team of craftsmen and builders. Please let us know what areas of construction you are knowledgeable and proficient in. Some of the skills we are looking for:
- Heavy Equipment (Can you dig a foundation? Can you grade a job site? Do you have a CDL?)
- Masonry Knowledge (Can you lay block? Can you shoot elevations? Can you form footers accurately? Can you pour and finish concrete?)
- Framing Knowledge (Have you framed houses before and to what extent? Can you build stair stringers? Can you cut hip rafters?)
- Siding and Roofing (Can you do metal and fascia work? Have you sided entire houses or additions before?)
- Electrical Knowledge (Have you wired a new house or addition? Do you know electrical codes?)
- Finish Carpentry (Can you hang interior doors? Can you install baseboard and casing, or crown? Can you install cabinets? Extension jambs?)
This is just touching on some of the skills we are looking for in candidates but again, just let us know what trades you are proficient in.
The ideal candidate must:
- Have a drivers license.
- Have a reliable form of transportation.
- Have the basic tools, large power tools/equipment provided.
- Be able to work a minimum Monday - Friday 40 hours a week.
