We are seeking a motivated & experienced individual to work alongside and manage workers to complete projects on time while maintaining a high regard for quality. Should have 5+ years’ experience as a field erector/welder with experience in; structural steel, misc., steel (stairs, handrails, guardrails, platforms, mezzanines), pre-engineered metal buildings a plus, and on-site steel fabrication needs. Must have ability to read prints & sketches, layout, perform certified welding, plan daily material, equipment and labor needs for projects start to finish.
Requirements;
Employee supervision & training.
Experience & working knowledge, steel erection, rigging, welding.
Ability to climb & lift.
Experienced equipment operator; (forklifts, boom lifts, scissors lifts).
Able to understand and adhere to; company, site, and OSHA safety guidelines and requirements.
Travel to and from the project sites each day from shop in a company truck, (work is typically within 100-mile radius of shop). Greater than 100-mile radius, overnight travel will be required, lodging and food allowances by company.
