This position allows you to hit the road and provide a critical service to a diverse range of passengers with disabilities. BUS DRIVER QUALIFICATIONS
Class C CDL with passenger endorsement
Ability to earn 19A Certification
SCR clearance
Within 90 days of hire, you need to complete training regarding First Aid and CPR, HIPAA compliance, and various human development and disability topics.
DAY IN THE LIFE OF A BUS DRIVER
As a Bus Operator, you spend your days picking up passengers with intellectual and developmental disabilities and driving them to various day programs, employment sites, and other fixed routes. Cooperating with the personal transport assistant, you make sure every passenger is safely secured and help them get off at the right locations. You help clean the vehicle and maintain all equipment, promptly reporting any faulty devices. As you complete your routes, you uphold a positive and professional attitude and make sure every passenger gets to their destination on time.
