The Black Stallion is a well-established restaurant in Vernon, NY, known for quality food and a welcoming atmosphere. We are seeking a dependable and motivated Line Cook to join our kitchen team.
Position Details: Schedule: Wednesday Sunday (4-day work week). Must be available on weekends (every other Sunday off). Full-time, approximately 40 hours per week.
Responsibilities: Prepare and cook menu items to restaurant standards – Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work station – Assist with prep work, line setup, and closing duties – Follow recipes, portion control, and food safety guidelines – Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service
Requirements: - Prior cooking/line experience preferred (willing to train the right candidate) – Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic – Ability to work in a fast-paced environment – Respectful, team-oriented attitude – No formal education requirement (less than GED acceptable)
