Timeless Frames is looking for a contract IT systems engineer to assist with several hardware and software upgrade projects. These will be project based jobs performed over a long time frame. All jobs will require a cost estimate before commencement; however, the type of billing, either by project or hourly, is negotiable. The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications.
Primary Responsibilities include:
Maintain and upgrade computing environments as requested including hardware, operating systems
and software, under all configurations in use while being cognizant of interaction requirements
Recommend changes to improve server system performance, and determine hardware or
software requirements related to such changes
Plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to protect data, software, and hardware
Design, configure and test computer hardware, networking assets, operating systems and software
Document changes and make them available to the end user
Qualifications required:
Must have a minimum of 2+ years of systems administration experience
BS Degree in Information Systems or Computer Science
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and PC systems
Basic knowledge of Microsoft licensing requirements
Knowledgeable in:
o Windows Active Directory
o Windows Backup Software
o Microsoft SQL Server Database Maintenance
o DHCP Servers
o Hyper-V Implementation
The Ideal Candidate:
Must be able to work on site.
Has the ability to meet deadlines and be able to work independently.
Is able to work in a fast-paced environment.
