Calf Feeder / Assistant Herd Person Wanted
1500 cow progressive and growing dairy located in beautiful Adams, NY is seeking to hire a full time calf feeder / assistant herd person to join their growing team. This position requires an energetic person who is responsible and dependable. Daily tasks include feeding and cleaning the calves that are newborn until 4 months of age, observing cattle, working with key employees, and organizing and completing other tasks as needed. Previous experience is not a requirement for the job, will train the right candidate. Previous experience in all areas of herd health (fresh cows, treatment of animals, heat detection, calves and heifers) and experience with Dairycomp and speaking Spanish are a plus. Competitive compensation is available to the right person.
