Description We are seeking a Cloud Engineer to join our team in the retail industry, located in White Plains, New York. Your role will mainly involve enhancing the redundancy, scalability, and security of our Azure infrastructure, along with managing Azure resources and implementing security policies. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities: Enhance the redundancy, scalability, and security of our Azure infrastructure in collaboration with team members. Provision and manage Azure resources, including but not limited to virtual machines, storage accounts, and databases. Implement and configure Azure security policies, such as network design, access control, and data encryption. Oversee Azure AD/Entra ID and Single Sign-On (SSO) integrations, focusing on automated provisioning and streamlined user management. Monitor Azure for performance, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and manage changes to maintain optimal functionality. Optimize Azure spending to ensure cost-effectiveness. Utilize Amazon EC2, Ansible, Atlassian Jira, Auto Scaling, AWS Technologies, API Development, Automation, Backup Technologies, Cluster Analysis for various tasks. Exhibit strong understanding of on-premises server administration, networking concepts, and TCP/IP protocols. Demonstrate proven experience with Microsoft Azure, including resource provisioning, security configuration, and access management. Apply excellent analytical and problem-solving skills in daily operations. Work both independently and as part of a team to achieve goals and objectives. Requirements Proficiency in Amazon EC2 Experience with Ansible Familiarity with Atlassian Jira Knowledge of Auto Scaling Expertise in AWS Technologies Experience in API Development Strong background in Automation Proficiency in Backup Technologies Familiarity with Cluster Analysis Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field Strong problem-solving abilities Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work effectively in a team Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and take initiative Must be legally eligible to work in the country of employment.
