We work with major insurance companies to get policyholders back on their feet and operational as quickly as possible.Before applying for this position, please note that you must have a valid North Carolina or home state Adjuster's license.Additional licensing is a plus!RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee property damage appraisals, critically review and correct reports and/or estimates, ensure appropriate policy coverages are enforced, and communicate effectively to all involved parties.
Respond to all phone and email inquiries from clients, staff investigators and contractors regarding claims investigations.
Use independent judgement to define and confirm client objectives on all new and reopened investigative assignments.
Consult with and provide guidance to clients to move all aspects of a claim to a successful resolution.
Review, address and resolve customer concerns and issues in a timely manner.
Perform quality control of the investigative and property damage appraisal and field adjusting work; ensure that all client objectives and best practices have been addressed and achieved; verify that billing applied to the work product falls within standard business guidelines.
Follow-up and close files in a manner satisfactory to the client and internal guidelines.
Remain knowledgeable in all matters relating to property and liability claims practices, policies, and procedures.
Maintain active adjusting licenses(s) through the completion of continuing education classes, as needed.
Position may occasionally require the writing of estimates from start to finish.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 3 years claims experience, with 2 or more of those years involving desk adjusting/insurance investigations and/or managing property insurance claims.
Minimum of 1 year desk adjusting experience.
XactAnalysis & Xactimate estimating experience required; Symbility experience a plus!
Hold a NC or home state Adjuster's license at minimum.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
Competent communication, organization and time management skills are a must.
Attention to detail and high level of confidentiality.
Ability to follow written and verbal instruction.
