RV Park Service Associate

Job Title: Park Service Associate

Job Type: Part-time

Rutledge Lake RV Park serves travelers from around the United States and Canada. The park has high standards and aims to give its guests the best possible impression of Western North Carolina.

Primary Duties:

1. Greet guests as they enter the Park retail store

2. Provide support of retail transactions

3. Perform stocking of shelves in the Park retail store

4. Inventory Park retail store items as necessary

5. Give directions and answer questions

6. Answer phone calls to the Park retail store

7. Receive reservation requests by phone, enter into the Park reservation system within 30 minutes of receiving the call, adhering to Park guidelines for RV size, age and configuration as they relate to site location and size

8. Review emails to the Park, respond as appropriate. Enter online reservation requests within 30 minutes of receiving them, adhering to Park guidelines for RV age, size, and configuration as they relate to site location and size

9. Ensure familiarity with all Park policies and enforce as needed

Additional Duties:

1. Support outdoor staff by inspecting Park grounds and buildings and listing opportunities for improvement

3. Assist outdoor staff in maintenance of decorative plantings and during emergency situations

4. Monitor influx of visitors to Park guests and requests for fishing permits

Requirements:

1. High school diploma or equivalent

2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills

3. Ability to multi-task

4. Ability to use email and Microsoft Office applications

5. Ability to learn point-of-sale and proprietary computer software

6. Knowledge of RV types and capabilities a big plus

Physical Requirements:

1. Ability to sit or stand in a retail environment for up to 8 hours per day.

2. Lift up to 35 pounds multiple times per day

3. Walk on uneven Park surfaces when performing outdoor inspections

4. Ability to use a step-ladder (maximum 3’ above the ground)

Working Hours:

1. May include weekends with prior notice

2. Schedule will be flexible but typically be 20-30 hours per week with occasional opportunities for additional hours

Compensation: $17-19/hr depending on experience, work campers will be considered (at a lower rate)
