Bright IDEAS after school program at Isaac Dickson Elementary School is hiring teachers and assistants for the 2019-20 School year.
QUALIFICATIONS:
-Minimum of 21 years of age with high school education or equivalent
-At least 1 year experience working with elementary school-aged children/Ability to effectively manage children in a group setting
-Must pass background check through Asheville City Schools
-Strong communication skills
-Able to be actively, physically engaged for extended periods of time
-Able to commit for the 2019-20 school year.
-CPR and first aid certification a plus
RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Planning and instruction of weekly units through the use of arts and crafts, group activities, games, cultural studies, technology, etc.
-Planning, implementing, and supervising recreational and enrichment activities
-Supervision and safety of children in group setting
-Supervision and direction of assistant
-Communication with parents, students, teachers, and staff members
-Assisting students with homework
-Monitoring and managing student behavior following established behavior plan
-Exemplifing and modeling quality character traits including integrity, respect, responsibility, respect, leadership, etc.
