Come work for a long-standing, locally-owned business that provides tutoring in all areas for students ages 5 and up. We are hiring one great tutor who has superb language skills to primarily teach an Orton Gillingham based curriculum to elementary aged struggling readers and writers. We will train you in Orton Gillingham. If you can tutor other areas, especially math up to 8th grade, that would be a big bonus.
To succeed at this job, you must love children, be excellent at working with any type of children, have a deep passion for learning and teaching, be an excellent communicator (respond to digital communications in a timely and professional way), and have the ability to stay very organized professionally.
Starting August 25, you must be available between 2-7 PM Monday through Friday. Over summer, we will train you for 40 hours at $20/hour. You will need to do some studying on your own as well to complete Orton Gillingham training. Compensation for tutoring will start at $27/contact hour, and after a 3 month review, it will go to $30/hour, with tutoring for homeschool tutoring, small classes, SAT/ACT (if qualified) earning more per hour.
