Gardens For Living, a rapidly expanding company specializing in Landscape Installation and Maintenance, is seeking a Landscape Maintenance Crew Leader. As a Crew Leader, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks to fulfill our grounds maintenance service contracts. You will lead your crew in maintaining the high level of quality that our company is known for.ResponsibilitiesPerform lawn care duties such as cutting grass, trimming edges, cleaning up refuse, and blowing trimmings.Operate small machines and load tools and equipment on and off trailers and trucks.Control insects and weeds by spraying and dusting areas.Operate power equipment including lawn tractors, lawn mowers, line trimmers, blowers, hedge trimmers, pruning saws, sod cutters, and chain saws.Assist in the construction of landscape gardens and related areas by moving and installing soil, mulch, and plant material.Communicate with customers in a professional, polite, and courteous manner.Maintain equipment and vehicles for proper working order.QualificationsMinimum one year experience in the landscape industry.Capable of operating required equipment in a safe and responsible manner.Effective communication skills – must be able to carry out verbal instructions, read labels and signs, and input information electronically.Excellent time management skills.Ability to work both independently with little supervision, and as part of a team.Physical fitness and ability to carry out strenuous physical tasks.Valid driver's license.Ability to work outdoors in various conditions.CompensationYou can expect: 40 – 50 hours per week in season (approximately March 1 – December 15) and 40 hours out of season (weather dependent).
