Real Recovery is looking for a Program Assistant to work in the Men's sober living houses. While close to downtown Asheville, the facilities overlook the historic French Broad River and are surrounded by the wilderness of the Blue Ridge Mountains.The job of Program Assistant for Real Recovery is established for the purpose of providing support for house managers. The Program assistant will help with coordinating client activities, supervising clients, and providing assistance with daily activities.Job Duties:-Coordinate with House Manager to ensure all clients have transportation to and from all scheduled appointments-Enforce program rules and expectations-Update and maintain Real Recovery calendar for client appointments-Ensure clients go to five 12 step meetings a week and attend IOP or OP group-Help clients obtain sponsors-Help Ensure cleanliness of all common areas, client rooms and surrounding areas of the property-Help initiate and motivate clients to participate in group activities-Responsible for all client’s whereabouts while off property or during activities-Assist House Manager with crisis intervention-Assist with room and property searches-Be forward thinking and take initiative wherever possible-Use good judgment and think independently-Act as a mentor to clients and lead by example-Willingly and thoroughly complete any task given to you by the House ManagerWeekly:-Attend staff meeting Thursday mornings at 10am-Meet with Direct Supervison for weekly supervison-Ensure Maintenance and cleanliness of company vehiclesEOERequirements1 year of experience in a human services system, preferably within a residential, mental health substance abuse setting.High School graduate or GED with 1 years’ experience. Prefer an Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Services field.
