SummaryAbout our opportunity: The City of Asheville is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Project Manager in the Water Resources department at either a level 1, level 2, or level 3 depending on candidate qualifications. This position would manage all aspects of water system capital improvement projects.What you’ll be doing:
Managing the planning, design and construction of Water System Capital Improvement Projects, ensuring adherence to policies, regulations and best practices, support operations and asset maintenance.

Applicants who meet the following minimum requirements or have comparable experience and/or education will be considered:Project Manager Level 1 - Will have up to 1 year of experience in project management or a related field and a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Project / Construction Management from an accredited university; - or- 3+ years of applicable project management experience and an Associates degree in Civil Engineering or Project / Construction management or Bachelor’s degree in related field.Project Manager Level 2 - Will have 3 years of applicable experience in project management or a related field and a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Project / Construction Management from an accredited university; - or- 5+ years of applicable project management experience and a Bachelor’s degree in related field.Project Manager Level 3 - Will hold a Professional Engineers License in NC or have the ability to receive reciprocity in NC within 6 months of hire and- 5+ years of applicable project management experience or related field.All Levels must have possession of a valid driver's license issued by the State of North Carolina or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
