Banquet Cook / Line Cook (Flat Rock, NC)
Kenmure Country Club is currently seeking qualified candidates for Cook positions.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Must have schedule flexibility
Experience required
- Prepare food of consistent quality following production and portion control standards
- Follow directions well, adhere to prep list and amounts of each item to be prepared
- Date and label all food containers and rotate as per season's standards, making sure that all perishables are kept at proper temperatures.
- Set up, decorate and maintain a buffet within Kenmure quality standards and event time constraints.
-Work action/carving stations and professionally interact with guests.
-Be confident with all cooking techniques, making soups/sauces, cooking proteins to temp, vegetable and salad preparation.
-Maintain the cleanliness and organization of all food & equipment storage areas.
- Return all food items not used on next shift to designated storage areas, being sure to cover/date all perishables.
- Operate, maintain and properly clean all Kitchen Equipment.
- Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
- Perform any other job related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Must have the ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing.
Self-starting personality with an even disposition is preferred. Employees are expected to maintain a professional and clean appearance at all times. Communication skills are extremely important with both coworkers as well as guests. Maintaining a positive mental attitude is also part of the job. Must be willing to "pitch-in" and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player. Finger/hand dexterity in order to operate food machinery. Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry, or otherwise, move goods weighing a maximum of 50 lbs. on a continuous schedule
