Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Market & Deli Associate to join our team at Troyer’s Country Amish Blatz in Fairview. If you enjoy interfacing with customers and have a passion for serving up incredible food to your local community, we’d love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of deli sandwiches.
- Assist customers with their deli orders, offering recommendations and guidance.
- Stock and prepare deli sandwich ingredients and toppings.
- Operate the cash register, handling transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with health regulations.
- Ensure product quality by rotating stock and managing inventory as needed.
- Rotate stock and check expiration dates to ensure freshness and quality.
- Slice, weigh, package, and label deli products such as meats, cheeses, sides, etc.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a smooth workflow during busy periods.
- Contribute ideas for new sandwiches & specials for deli offerings.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers, answer questions, and provide product recommendations.
- Experience in a deli, bakery, grocery store, or food service setting is highly valued but not required.
- Ability to stand for long periods and handle heavy items like trays, boxes, or bags of ingredients.
- Dexterity for operating deli slicers, knives, ovens, and other kitchen equipment.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while staying organized and detail-oriented.
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and food preparation procedures preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude.

- $17 per hour (plus tips through tip share)
