Residential House Manager Needed

Irene Wortham Center is looking for a caring and compassionate Residential Group Home Manager who excels at group home programming. Our goal is improving the lives of the individuals that we serve!

Position Summary

Assist the Residential Coordinator/QIDDP with all daily operations of the residential group home. Directly supervise Habilitation Technicians, Medication Technicians and Shift Supervisors on all shifts.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Ensure the safety and well-being of the clients at all times.

Ensure that all job responsibilities of Habilitation Technicians, Medication Technicians and Shift Leaders are met on a daily basis.

Ensure ICF/IID regulations are followed at all times.

Be able and willing to perform any and all of the job responsibilities of the Habilitation Technicians and Shift Leaders as needed. Be flexible and willing to work vacant shifts as needed.

Complete assigned tasks and, when needed, be willing to complete special tasks.

Assist with training new Habilitation Technicians.

Supervise Habilitation Technicians and Shift Leaders.

Staff Scheduling and ensuring coverage for all shifts. Be available by phone to answer staff questions.

Responsible for keeping client and house petty cash with an accurate account of receipts and money.

Be familiar with and monitor house budget through purchase requisitions, overtime reports, and salary sheets.

Carry out all disciplinary actions and staff counseling sessions in accordance with IWC/IWRC.

Complete yearly and 90-day evaluations on all staff.

Conduct monthly staff meetings.

Keep accurate, up-to-date training records on all staff; ensure required trainings are completed in a timely manner.

Keep and monitor all employee attendance and leave records for all staff.

Attend all client IPP meetings as needed.

Attend quarterly medication reviews as needed.

Monitor fire drills and fire drill documentation for completion and accuracy.

Assist with monitoring program documentation.

Perform on-call duties as needed.

Coordinate and organize community inclusion activities.

Purchase all needed household and programmatic items as needed.

Assist the QIDDP.

Other duties as assigned.

Non-Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Maintain valid North Carolina’s Driver’s License and good driving record.

Education/Training/Background Check

High School Diploma or GED. Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience, with some ICF/IID experience.

Pass a criminal background and drug screening test
