Human Resources Director Needed

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Human Resources Director to join our team. The Human Resources Director will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of HR operations, including talent acquisition, employee relations, talent management, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR management, excellent leadership skills, and a deep understanding of HR best practices.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

1. Manage recruitment, selection, and retention of both non-exempt and exempt associates. Ensure applications are distributed to appropriate hiring manager.

2. Respond to claims and represent employer in Employment Security Commission hearings for unemployment benefits.

3. Act as a liaison with government agencies in areas of regulatory compliance.

4. Serve as administrator for benefit programs. Administers all benefits programs which involve open enrollment campaigns for medical insurance plans, retirement plan, life insurance, etc. Processes benefit billings for Finance Department and enter online with current provider.

5. Consult with and coach management team in effective employee relations, administration of the disciplinary process, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

6. Investigate and respond to employee concerns, disputes, sexual harassment complaints, etc. Follows established policies and procedures as outlined in the policy manual while maintaining confidentiality

7. Develop, disperse, implement, and administer human resource, safety, and operational policies and procedures, as approved by the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operations Officer and Board of Directors. If needed coordinate Board of Directors sub-committee for addressing policy concerns.

8. Monitors trends and policy changes within similar organizations in order to provide up-to-date policies, benefit packages and incentive type programs in order to retain and attract qualified employees. Conducts salary surveys periodically to ensure the IWC/IWRC salary administration plan is competitive within the marketplace. Make recommendations to the Chief Operations Officer when adjustments to the plan are warranted.

9. Responsible for the employee performance evaluation process and the administration of salary increases and/or bonus for employees as approved by the Chief Operations Officer.

10. Coordinates the development of job descriptions for IWC/IWRC employees, which meets federal, state and accreditation compliance standards and requirements of the job.

11. Maintains possession of all confidential personnel records and confidential documentation pertaining to employee benefits, etc.

12. Ensure all new hires paperwork is complete and processed properly.

13. Responsible for IWC/IWRC employee new hire orientation, training programs including scheduling training, conducting training as needed and maintaining training records.

14. Keep HRIS updated with all incoming training records, disciplinary actions and employee status changes.

15. Responsible for the development and administration of employee/management incentive plans. Assist the management staff in establishing quantifiable goals and other means for measuring improvement in employee’s productivity and work attitudes/habits.

16. Monitors all EEO programs for compliance according to regulation standards. Completes all necessary reports for compliance and posts all bulletins required by federal laws. Coordinate response to EEOC charges in partnership with legal counsel.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
