Rainbow Community School is Hiring for: A Part-Time Custodian and Maintenance Support

Rainbow Community School is seeking a part-time custodian and maintenance support person to help keep our 5 acre campus safe and clean. This position would be part of a 3 person-maintenance team, and would serve as the primary role in cleaning and disinfecting. This position will support daily cleaning of classroom and office spaces during the after school hours to help the school remain in compliance with best practices for disinfecting and sanitizing shared spaces in a school setting. This position will have a set of weekly responsibilities, and all additional hours can be put toward deep cleaning and additional indoor and outdoor maintenance activities designed to keep the campus beautiful.
Duties and Responsibilities:
-Approximate hours are from 4:00-7:00pm M/T/Th/F 2:00-7:00 Wednesday and 6-8 hours on the weekend.
-Bi-weekly vacuum, sweep and mopping of all facility floors.
-Daily clean of all restrooms and frequently touched surfaces.
-Daily removal of garbage and recycling.
-Simple maintenance in classrooms and offices such as refilling paper towels and soap, and changing light bulbs.
-Monitoring cleaning materials so they remain well stocked.
-At minimum, quarterly deep clean of windows, baseboards, bookshelves, etc.
-Potential for some outdoor maintenance pending skill level and time availability.
