We are looking for a careful forklift operator to move trailers around our facilities and unload materials off of trucks. You will be operating a forklift with the utmost care to ensure efficiency and safety. You must be a responsible individual with great experience in driving industrial vehicles. The goal will be to ensure that material and products will always be at the right place to achieve maximum efficiency.
Responsibilities
Unload materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stack them to assigned places
Locate, move and stack trailers for shipment
Check to make sure correct items are being stacked safely and efficiently
Be able to place 2x6 and 4x6 wood between trailers for stacking and to properly strap them where no damage will incur
Be able to load parts on correct trucks
Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies
Be able to make sure all parts taken off are necessary and they are labeled
Fill out stacker checklist
Transport raw materials to production workstations
Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance
Comply with company policies
Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities
Skills
Proven experience as forklift operator
Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment
Excellent physical condition and coordination
High school diploma
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
