The Materials Assistant assists the Materials Manager in the day-to-day movement of materials and assists with Receiving/Shipping, System & Physical Inventory and Production Planning. Will also work in Production as needed. Must pay close attention to detail, have great organizational skills, be able to accurately key data and manage paperwork. Clear written/verbal communication and ability to work in a fast-paced environment is required.
Receiving/Shipping
Identify, count & trace incoming materials following documented process
Verify condition, documentation and receipt of shipments
Properly count outgoing product using weigh counting
Ensure packaging, paperwork and shipping method follow requirements of customer, company and USPS standards
Stockroom
Process & route materials and paperwork, key in inventory system
Wash/clean parts, pick kits and perform cycle counts
Production Planning
Plan, schedule & establish job priorities using business system
Communicate with Sales, Purchasing and/or Production any changes, delays or expeditions of jobs
Prepare reports, charts and priority lists
Must have HS diploma or equivalent, be authorized to work in the US and submit to a drug test, physical and background check.
