Job Overview:
The Finishing Production Lead is responsible for the final phase of cabinetry building before installation. Ideally, this individual will have experience leading a team and applying paint and stain finishes to high-end custom cabinetry.
The individual in this position efficiently inspects, prepares and finishes cabinetry projects with various chemicals such as paint, stain, varnish, lacquer, etc The Finishing Production Lead is expected to have expert level experience and knowledge regarding applying various products, using different spraying techniques, and knowledge of factors that affect quality such as temperature, humidity, chemical ratios, etc…
Additionally, knowledge of professional spraying equipment such as Kremlin and Graco and experience fixing problems such as fisheye and orange peel are required. Great communication skills are essential and experience using water-based products is considered a plus!
Primary Responsibilities: (75%)

Consistently produce a high-end product free of defects and minor blemishes
Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of the spray booth and all tools/equipment related to the finishing department
Maintain accurate inventory and communicate reorder needs to the Administrator in a timely manner
Inspect all customer facing cabinet parts/identify flaws and repair if necessary
Preparing cabinetry for the finishing process by taping, filling holes & sanding
Prime cabinetry parts before final finishing stage
Apply finishing coats with spraying techniques/applying finishing coats manually if necessary
Re-sanding multiple times between finishes if necessary
Inspecting work & implementing quality control measures
Using proper PPE at all times
Additional Responsibilities: (25%)
Assist the production team with other tasks as necessary:
o Moving parts
o Cleaning the shop
o Preparing and loading cabinetry for the installation process
Training team members on finishing techniques
Occasionally finishing on the jobsite when the situation arises
Working Conditions:
● This individual will work primarily in the sanding area and spray booth but will occasionally be required to work off site to finish cabinetry in client’s homes
● This role involves occasional heavy lifting
● This role involves frequent interaction with production teammates and management
● Sustained periods of standing, lifting, moving materials and walking
● The use of eye protection and a face mask/respirator is required daily
● The use of a spray booth and spraying equipment is required daily
Job Type:
● This is a full-time hourly position, which generally requires between 40-50 hours per week
● This is a non-exempt position which does pay overtime, when required
Schedule:
● Monday – Thursday from 6 am to 4:30 pm
● Rarely required nights and weekends
