As the Shop Mechanic, you will oversee all aspects of troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance services for a diverse range of equipment essential for landscape operations. Your primary responsibilities will be to ensure that our company vehicles, heavy equipment, small power tools, and hand tools are properly cared for, maintained, and repaired to support efficient and safe operations, aligning with our company's core values of Safety, Teamwork, Excellence, Efficiency, Passion, and Service. This role is crucial for ensuring that all landscaping machinery is in optimal working condition to support our operations. We offer competitive pay, opportunities for advancement, and a healthy work environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform routine maintenance, inspections, and minor repairs on all vehicles, heavy equipment, and landscaping equipment, including but not limited to trucks, trailers, Bobcat diesel machines,mowers, trimmers, blowers, edgers, chainsaws, and other small engines.Scheduling and tracking oil changesand repairs outside of our shopDiagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues with equipment and perform necessary repairsOrder and manage inventory of parts, tools, and supplies needed for repairs and maintenanceMaintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities, including parts used, labor time, and completed tasks.Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety standards and company policiesPerform tasks safely, efficiently, and effectively, and maintain a clean work siteAssist with onboarding new team membersQualificationsMinimum one-year mechanic experience, preferably with small engines or landscaping equipmentStrong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and schematicsAbility to lift heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs), stand for long periods, and be physically fit to carry out strenuous tasks outdoors in various conditions. Including heat and humidity, rain, dust, noise, and coldStrong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively with team membersStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on finding efficient and effective solutionsEffective time management skills and ability to communicate daily through basic appsAbility to work both independently with little supervision, and as part of a teamValid driver's license and ability to be added to the company auto insurance policyCompensationExpect 40 – 50 hours per week in season (approximately March 1 – December 15) and 40 hours out of season (weather dependent).
